DBT GROUP FOR ADULTS

DBT group is a six month group that is the most effective way to learn new lifestyle skills quickly, effectively, and with nonjudgmental support of others experiencing many of the same roadblocks. It's not a quick fix- it is designed to make lasting changes. You will learn:

  • How to stop thinking too much about the past and worrying about the future

  • How to notice and express your emotions to yourself and others

  • How to cope with intense and overwhelming emotions

  • When and how to honor and express valid emotions. 

  • How to stop negative thought spiraling that lead to problem behaviors

  • How to build worthwhile and long lasting relationships

  • How to get away from rigid, black and white thinking
